Journal Entry 4

It is the last week of the June holidays now, I feel that time has passed so quickly. Some people say that time passes very quickly when you are enjoying, it seems to be very true. The star programme for the final week has ended as well; it has helped me get ready for the New South Wales Maths Competition by letting me know vividly what questions to expect and also kept my brain from becoming rusty by making me think. It is unfortunate that I will not be going to my grandmother’s house in Malaysia so I have fewer things to write about, I will have to wait for the year end holidays to do that. Hopefully, I will be going there in a happy mood after the end of year examinations. This is the last of my holiday homework to be done, after this I will be free for two days to do what I want. Now I have to get back in the mood for studying and be ready for the new semester, I must work harder and try to remember things better than before. I am hoping that the next school holidays will not be as dull as this one and for my life to be as smooth sailing as possible.

Journal Entry 3

Once again for another week, I have not been doing much for the whole week except doing the holiday homework, revising my schoolwork and playing computer games at home and also at LAN shops with my friends, which is what I do almost day after day. I have now completed six newspaper commentaries, two blog entry, the comprehensions in the Distinction in O level Comprehension book and seventy five words and phrases in my phrase book. I hope I am able to finish my homework a few days earlier so that I have more time to revise my schoolwork as I do not want to be unprepared for the new semester. I must not fail this time as it is vital to my results at the end of the year. This is the most I can write now, but I might be going to my Malaysia to visit my grandmother, if I do, I will have a lot more things to write about because there will be more things to do there. As always, I hope there will be more interesting things to prevent my life from becoming a bore.

Journal Entry 2

It is already the second week of the June holidays but nothing much has changed since last week, every single day is about the same because I am doing almost the same thing each day, waking up, eating, doing my homework, do my own work and then to sleep. Fortunately, my family and I should be going to Malaysia to visit my grandmother and have a gathering with my relatives as well, this should make my week not as boring as I think it will be. I am still doing the holiday homework on most days of the week and revising on my weak topics and subjects during some of my free time. At the moment I have finished four newspaper commentaries, one blog entry, the comprehensions in the Distinction in O level Comprehension book and fifty words and phrases in my phrase book. So half of my holiday homework is finished and it is a great relief because I will now have more free time to do what I want to do and revise my work without having to worry about not having enough time. I hope to find more interesting and exciting new things to do in the last two weeks of the June holidays.

Journal Entry 1

The first week of the June holidays were largely dominated by the STAR programme which is to provide pupils additional coaching in various subject. For my class we had training for the New South Wales Maths Competition, the Trial Paper for the New South Wales Maths Competition and Principles of Account. In my opinion from the questions in the trial paper, I feel they will not be easy; some questions have patterns that make it easier to solve but it might not be easy to find out. Fortunately, we are allowed the use of calculators for help in calculating large numbers. I feel that I am prepared for the real test paper. My results this year for the mid-year examination was better than the last but it is still not very good, thus I plan to revise a subject that I am not good at or sure of such as Maths, Biology and Principles of Account every day I am not doing the holiday homework. And if I am still weak at those subjects or chapters, I will have to go for tuition which is more work which I hope not to. I am feeling that through this, I will be at least having average marks for all subjects to ensure I get promoted to secondary four. For my own free time, I will watch television, play computer games, surf the internet, read the newspaper or go out with my friends. I hope that the days will be better in the coming weeks before going back to school.
